Let’s face it, nobody calls cranberry sauce the favorite piece of a turkey dinner. In my family it was always a last thought to be scooped out of a can when the turkey was carved.
There are so many things I love about this cranberry sauce. First of all, it’s incredibly easy to prepare, put the ingredients in a pot and stir, voila!.
You don’t need to cook the berries for hours at a time, 10 minutes max and you have a rich and flavourful sauce. I also love how simple it is, it contains just 3 ingredients, cranberries, honey (or maple syrup) and an orange, that’s all you need.
You can customize this recipe to your liking by adding more or less honey to your taste. You can also crush the cranberries with the back of your spoon, if you like the sauce smoother, or leave it completely, if you like a thicker sauce. I find that the flavor of this sauce only improves over a few days, so I would recommend making it two to three days before.
Super easy cranberry sauce

In a sauce pan over medium heat mix the cranberries, orange zest, orange juice and honey. Simmer for about 15 minutes until the cranberries are bloated and the mass has to thicken (becoming stronger when cooled)
